Syngenta’s new Contend fungicide is now registered for control of pink and gray snow mold on golf courses. The fungicide delivers multi-targeted control for 120 or more days by combining four active ingredients, including Solatenol.

Solatenol, a third generation SDHI, binds to the plant’s waxy layer and penetrates the plant tissue for pathogen defense. By combining Solatenol with three active ingredients, Contend provides protection against multiple stages of disease development. Contend is made up of two separately registered products, Contend A and Contend B, used in combination to treat three acres.

Contend fungicide is available in the following states: Alaska, Alabama, Colorado, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, New England, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Wyoming.
