Indemnify Registered for Use in Florida
Bayer announced that Indemnify is now registered in Florida. Effective on Sting, Root Knot, Anguina pacificae, and many other species of nematodes. Indemnify is optimized for application anytime nematodes are active and also offers a highly concentrated formulation specifically designed to penetrate the soil profile where nematodes are. Two applications in the fall can control nematodes prior to peak golf play during the winter months in Florida. In other regions, spring applications will control nematodes throughout summer play.  

Avenue South Registered for Use in California
PBI-Gordon Corporation announced that Avenue South Broadleaf Herbicide for Turfgrass is now registered for use in California. It combines four active ingredients to deliver control of more than 90 broadleaf weeds and safety on warm-season turfgrass, including St. Augustinegrasses.

Paul Latshaw to Receive Old Tom Morris Award
Paul R. Latshaw will receive the 2017 Old Tom Morris Award from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). The award goes to an individual who has helped to mold the welfare of the game in a manner and style exemplified by Old Tom Morris. Morris, a four-time British Open winner, was the longtime superintendent at St. Andrews in Scotland until his death in 1908.
