Inspired by a large turnout at the 2014 event in San Luis Obispo, California, this year’s Symposium on Affordable Golf (SOAG) finds itself in the middle of a major metropolitan area for the first time. The 6th annual event will be held at Tam O’ Shanter Golf Course in Canton, Ohio, on Monday, October 12th and Tuesday, October 13th, 2015.
Speakers at SOAG include Debbie Waitkus, president and founder of Golf For Cause, Robert Balestrini, founder of the American FootGolf League, and Kevin Kane, publisher and editor of the Virginia Golf Report. Presentations and panel discussions will explore the meaning of affordable golf as attendees create a new business model for golf to ensure the sport will be enjoyed for generations to come.
Attendance is free and members of the PGA, LPGA and the GCSAA will earn Continuing Education Credits. Golfers and those in the industry can also share their perspective with the SOAG’s survey, The Golf Experience—Your Way.
