Golfplan to Unveil ‘Synthetic’ 9 Outside Delhi
Golfplan partner Kevin Ramsey bends down to examine a seam in the 9th green at the M3M Club, his new project set to open here this fall, just north of the Delhi airport. Yes, a seam. When it opens this September, M3M will not only be India’s newest golf property; it will also be the first anywhere to deploy synthetic turf through the green. The 9-hole, par-3 layout at M3M — in addition to its 9-hole putting course and driving range — are entirely “grassed” with a lush-green product produced by FieldTurf, the Calhoun, Ga.-based subsidiary of the French company, Tarkett Inc., that has supplied its product to some 7,000 sports facilities worldwide.

Nufarm Renews its Platinum Partnership with Project EverGreen’s GreenCare for Troops (GCFT)
The need for volunteers for Project EverGreen’s GreenCare for Troops (GCFT) initiative continues to grow as military families with a deployed service member and post-9/11 veterans with a service-connected disability look for help to care for and create healthier lawns and yards. The program, which celebrates its 11th year in 2017, provides basic lawn and landscape services and so much more including back yards for service dogs to run in, green gardens for disabled veterans to reflect in and countless hours of joy for families to bond. Volunteers agree to provide free services for the length of the military deployment, or for up to two years for disabled veterans. Volunteers choose how many families they’d like to help, how far they’re willing to travel and what services they are able to provide. A list of services is part of the registration form. Volunteers are matched with families within those parameters, and service begins once the military family contacts the volunteer.
