Nufarm Receives EPA Registration for Traction™ Fungicide with New Dual-Active Fluazinam and Tebuconazole
Nufarm Americas announced it has been granted federal EPA registration for Traction™ fungicide based on the novel combination of FRAC 29 and FRAC 3 active ingredients, Fluazinam and Tebuconazole. Traction fungicide will provide a new management tool for disease control and resistance management in cool- and warm-season golf course turf. Traction fungicide’s unique dual actives work on-contact and systemically within the plant to provide effective broad-spectrum control of 19 turf diseases and algal scum. It has been shown to provide strong performance against major golf course disease pressure from anthracnose, dollar spot, brown patch and snow mold across field trials in various settings. To support convenience and value, Traction fungicide will be offered in a premix formula at a price aligned with many tank mixes. It can also be applied across all golf course settings, including fairways, tees and greens.

PBI-Gordon Developing New Herbicide
PBI-Gordon Corporation has developed a new non-phenoxy, “three-way” herbicide. Soon to be branded SwitchBlade™, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registration for the herbicide is pending. SwitchBlade will feature three active ingredients: halauxifen-methyl, fluroxypyr, and dicamba. Testing has shown that, when combined, these active ingredients will provide professional lawn care operators, golf course superintendents, and sod and sports turf managers with extended post-emergence control of 34 broadleaf weeds—including clover, dandelion, and plantain.

Youth on Course Announces Four New Partnerships to Expand Junior Golf Access in 22 States
Youth on Course announced it has expanded its national affordable golf program to four new associations. New partnerships include Colorado Golf Association (Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado), Golf Association of Philadelphia, Greater Cincinnati Golf Association and the Iowa Golf Association. Operating in every U.S. region, Youth on Course has more than 30,000 active members with access to 18 holes of golf for $5 or less at 600-plus courses across 22 states. Since 2006, juniors have completed 650,000 rounds. Six additional state associations added throughout the year include Carolinas Golf Association (North Carolina and South Carolina), Georgia State Golf Association, Golf House of Kentucky, Miami Valley Golf Association, Minnesota Golf Association and Wisconsin Golf Association.

Jacobsenâ Launches New GATM Series Aerators
Jacobsen is launching new models of its GA Aerator Series. The GA450 and GA580 aerators will join the GA600 to create an extensive line of tractor mounted aerators, with each model having a specific width and working depth that can be used in a multitude of applications for the course. Each model features Jacobsen’s PerfectStrikeTM technology, which delivers hole quality and increased productivity when equipped with the optional AerStrikeTM tine attachment system. The PerfectStrike patented design ensures tines enter and exit the turf vertically and from an optimal height. Its movement creates a truly straight and more perfectly round hole, providing uniform aeration with minimal damage to the root zone to allow turf to recover quickly.

Jacobsen introduced the new HF600, which features versatility by giving operators the choice to mow with three, four or five reels.
