Advanced Turf Solutions Welcomes Two New Golf Sales Representatives
Advanced Turf Solutions has appointed two new golf course sales representatives in Ohio: Matt Welch in Northeast Ohio and Don Lawrence in Northwest Ohio. Welch brings 17 years of experience in the industry and was previously a golf equipment sales representative at Century Equipment, the Toro distributor for Ohio. Earlier in his career, Welch spent 10 years as golf course superintendent. Additionally, Welch has worked with the Northern Ohio Golf Course Superintendents Association (NOGCSA) and Ohio State University to perform multiple research projects for superintendents in Northeast Ohio.

Lawrence joins Advanced Turf Solutions with decades of experience in sales, golf course management, and accounting. He was previously in sales at the turf division of Legacy Farmers Cooperative. Beginning in 1999, Lawrence was the superintendent and later general manager at Red Hawk Run Golf Course in Findlay, Ohio, for 10 years.

Tagmarshal Pace-of-Play System Earns Raves at Carnoustie Golf Links
Tagmarshal is achieving high-quality results at Carnoustie Golf Links’ Championship Course, host of the 2018 Open Championship and one of Golf Digest’s top-30 courses worldwide. After only two months of management, clubhouse staff and player assistants deploying Tagmarshal technology, golfers’ rounds were reduced by an average of 17 minutes. 88 percent of play was on or within 10 minutes of appropriate pace, including a 183 percent improvement in the number of golfers on pace. 

Bayer Appoints Burgess Perry to Head of Marketing for Environmental Science North America
Environmental Science, a business unit of the Crop Science division of Bayer, announced that Burgess Perry has been named Head of Marketing for Environmental Science North America. In this role, Perry is responsible for leading the marketing initiatives of the business unit for the United States and Canada, focusing primarily on the needs of customers in the markets it serves, including: Turf & Ornamentals, Vegetation Management, Professional Pest Management and Vector Control. Most recently, Perry served as Director of Marketing Excellence for Crop Protection and Seeds in North America. Throughout his more than 27 years of experience at Bayer, Perry has worked across regional and global teams to identify key customer insights and elevate marketing activities to deliver positive customer experiences.
