BASF has issued recommendations expanding the application profiles of its Lexicon Intrinsic brand fungicide and Xzemplar fungicide for use against four additional turfgrass diseases in most parts of the U.S. market.
The FIFRA Section 2(ee) recommendations expand the usage of Xzemplar fungicide against fairy ring, Bipolaris leaf spot, and Rhizoctonia leaf sheath spot. Lexicon Intrinsic brand fungicide can be used against spring dead spot.
“BASF is dedicated to helping maintain healthy turf,” said Nick Tresslar, Marketing Manager, BASF Turf and Ornamental Solutions. “With an expanded number of targeted diseases, Lexicon Intrinsic brand fungicide and Xzemplar fungicide now provide superintendents with maximum protection and superior disease control solutions.”
Xzemplar fungicide is a solo product containing only the active-ingredient fluxapyroxad. Fluxapyroxad is a mobile and effective succinate-dehydrogenase inhibitor (SHDI) for preventative and curative management of key turfgrass pathogens.
Lexicon Intrinsic brand fungicide contains a 1:2 ratio of fluxapyroxad and the active ingredient in Insignia SC Intrinsic brand fungicide. Lexicon Intrinsic brand fungicide is a next-generation Intrinsic product that gives turf managers both disease control and other health benefits.
