Bayer to Introduce Exteris Stressgard Fungicide at the Golf Industry Show
Bayer announced that it will introduce Exteris™ Stressgard® fungicide at the Golf Industry Show in Orlando. Exteris Stressgard combines fluopyram, a SDHI active ingredient for the golf course industry. According to Bayer, it combined fluopyram and trifloxystrobin with new Leaf-CoteTM Technology – a proprietary formulation enhancement that offers improved product retention on the leaf surface. Leaf-Cote Technology enables the product to stick to the leaf where it is needed most and works in unison with Stressgard FT.
PBI-Gordon, Kumiai and Ihara Partner on New Active Ingredient
PBI-Gordon Corporation announced the company has entered into a partnership with Kumiai Chemical Industry Co. Ltd., and Ihara Chemical Industry Co. Ltd., of Tokyo, Japan, to develop herbicides containing the proprietary active ingredient Pyrimisulfan. To be marketed under the Vexis™ brand name, the herbicide active ingredient will be formulated for use in established cool- and warm-season turfgrass species on residential and commercial sites, sports facilities, and golf course fairways and roughs.
Currently under independent and university testing, products containing Vexis show control of sedges and kyllinga at a low active ingredient concentration rate. Tests are also being conducted on formulations featuring Vexis combined with other active ingredients for potential expanded broadleaf control and weed and feed products.
ASGCA Foundation to Launch Longleaf Tee Initiative at Golf Industry Show
Leaders of ASGCA, ASGCA Foundation and U.S. Kids Golf Foundation will host a press event at the 2017 Golf Industry Show in Orlando, Florida on Feb. 8 at 2 p.m., to discuss a new joint project, the Longleaf Tee Initiative. This program is designed to increase rounds played, enhance player enjoyment and improve pace of play.
