Superintendents, concerned with the impact of one of the warmest winters in history, are watching turfgrass carefully.


  On this cool, early-spring morning, Barber peers into the microscope looking for clues of something that could lead to the turf's eventual demise. He's concerned about the turf's health, considering the unseasonably warm weather of the past several months in the Pittsburgh area where Cranberry Highlands is located. Barber wonders if the weather - temperatures were in the 80s the week before - could have an adverse agronomic impact on the turf, so he's watching it as closely as he can.
